Abstract:
The present invention relates to a medical stent and, more specifically, to a weight reduction stent, which is an expansion device in the gastric cavity to be physically selected in order to reduce the weight of a patient requiring treatment, such as a patient having extreme obesity, reduces side effects, facilitates insertion and removal operations, is operated so as to reduce weight by inducing a natural reduction in food intake by causing a feeling of fullness in accordance to the expansion of the stent after the procedure, comprises a shape memory alloy wire, forms a predetermined shape by crossing and weaving, and is operated by being contracted and expanded, wherein unit cells formed as a polygon are weaved to form an entirely spherical stent in order to resist external force, and a net line constituting the unit cells is formed to be continuous by twisting two strands of wires.
