Abstract:
Provided are a weight scale, a weight measurement method, and an animal toilet that can, at low cost, improve measurement precision in the measurement of both heavy subjects and light subjects. The weight scale comprises a load cell, an AMP, and an ADC, as well as a CPU that controls these to calculate the weight of a measurement subject. The CPU comprises a determination unit that determines whether the measurement subject is a heavy subject or a light subject, and a classified weight measurement control unit that, on the basis (S4) of the determination of whether the measurement subject is a heavy subject or a light subject, sets (S5, S8) a measurement range and an amplification factor so as to be in accordance with either a heavy subject or a light subject, said measurement range being narrower than the maximum measurement range of the AMP and said amplification factor being larger than for the maximum measurement range, then amplifies an output voltage of a load sensor with the AMP, subjects the output of the AMP to A/D conversion by the ADC, and calculates (S6-S7, S9-S10) a weight value of the measurement subject.
