Abstract:
A display control unit displays, on a display unit, a medical image in which at least one region of interest is extracted. A correction unit corrects the boundary of the region of interest extracted from the displayed medical image in response to a correction command for the boundary of the region of interest. An image generation unit sets an initial weight coefficient for the extracted region of interest and sets a corrected weight coefficient for the corrected region in the medical image for which the correction command has been issued, thereby generating a weighted image in which each pixel within the medical image has a weight coefficient representing a weight indicative of being the region of interest as a pixel value.
