A weld inspecting device 1 detects welding defects 14 in welded portions 4 of metal plates 2, 3, and includes a liquid application head 5 which is disposed on one surface side of the metal plates, and which is capable of traveling in the welding direction of the metal plates, and an air ejecting head 9 which is disposed on the other surface side of the metal plates, and which is capable of traveling in the welding direction of the metal plates, wherein: the liquid application head 5 includes a liquid application nozzle which projects toward said one surface side of the metal plates, and which applies a liquid for sealing the welded portions; and the air ejecting head 9 includes an air ejecting nozzle which projects toward the other surface side of the metal plates, and which ejects air 13 onto the welded portion to which the liquid has been applied.
