Abstract:
Disclosed is a welded metal which is formed by gas-shielded arc welding using a flux-containing wire, and has a strength of not less than 700 MPa and excellent toughness even at a low temperature of -60˚C. The welded metal is mainly composed of Fe, and additionally contains 0.02-0.12% by mass of C, 0.1-1.0% by mass of Si, 0.5-3.0% by mass of Mn, 0.002-0.03% by mass of Al, 0.5-3.5% by mass of Ni, 0.005-0.20% by mass of Ti and 0.03-0.08% by mass of O, while suppressing the amount of N contained therein to 0.01% by mass or less. The welded metal also contains an oxide under specific conditions, and the bainite structure observed in the structure of the welded metal has an average size of 2.0 μm or less.
