Abstract:
The purpose of this invention is to determine the occurrence of welding defects caused by quadrature current. This welding determination device comprises: a measurement unit (11) which measures the temperature of a junction of a belt-shaped sheet (steel belt (2), for example) to be joined by seam welding, and a determination unit (13) which, on the basis of the measurement results of the measurement unit (11), calculates the average temperature Tave at the junction and the temperature difference ΔT which is the difference between the maximum temperature and the minimum temperature at the junction, and deems a welding defect due to quadrature current to have occurred at the junction if the average temperature Tave is at or below a first threshold value, and the temperature difference ΔT is at or above a second threshold value.
