Abstract:
Provided are a welding method and a welding device for welding a glass tube to a preform (10) in which through holes (11) are formed, and a method for manufacturing an optical fiber which includes a welding process by the welding method.
In a second heating process in which the end portion of the preform is preheated, a gas is supplied into the through holes from the opposite side to the side on which the preform is preheated.
