Abstract:
This welding robot system comprises a welding robot (1) and a computer (2) which controls the welding robot (1). A welding path is specified by the following steps. A first member to be welded and a second member to be welded which may touch one another are specified from the shape of members to be welded in 3D CAD data. Next, a first surface (20) of the second member to be welded which touches one surface of the first member to be welded and which has a normal vector (B) which is parallel with the normal vector (A) of said one surface, is extracted. Then, a second surface (21) of the second member to be welded is extracted, a shared edge (22) shared by the first surface (20) and the second surface (21) is extracted, the welding path (30) is specified so as to correspond to the shared edge (22), and the first member to be welded and the second member to be welded are welded together.
