Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a weldless joint for piles having high flexural capacity and high shear capacity, and at the same time provided with a rotational torque transmission mechanism. [Solution] Spherical shear members (31) are placed in shear member fitting holes (30) formed in the end fastenings (12) of two piles, rotational moment is transmitted and the shear resistance of a joint is enhanced by the mutual concavo-convex fitting between the two piles, arcuate plates (15) fitted over the outer peripheries of the end fastenings (12) to fix the piles together are used, arcuate inter-plate coupler fastenings (21) for coupling the arcuate plates together are provided with tapered dovetail grooves (22) having dovetail groove shapes in transverse cross section, the terminal outer surfaces of the arcuate plates are each provided with an arcuate inter-plate coupling protrusion (20) having a tapered dovetail shape that fits with the tapered dovetail grooves (22), the arcuate plates (15) adjacent to each other are coupled by inserting the arcuate inter-plate coupling protrusions (20, 20) into the tapered dovetail grooves (22), and both ends of the arcuate inter-plate coupler fastenings (21) are threadably fastened into the adjacent arcuate plates (15).
