Abstract:
A well head sucker rod pump comprises a cylindrical housing (1) with an inlet valve (3), a hollow plunger (2) with a pressure valve (18) designed in such a way that it can execute reciprocal motion along the length of the cylindrical housing (1), as well as at least two immobile sealing units (7) separated by a distance no greater than the length of the hollow plunger (2). The latter and each sealing unit (7) cooperate mutually with each other. The length (L) of the hollow plunger is equal to or greater than the sum of the distance (H) between adjacent sealing units (7) and the length (B) of one such sealing unit (7) but less than the sum of twice the distance (H) between adjacent sealing units (7) and the length (B) of one such unit.
