Abstract:
In this well plate, to which wells are formed that retain liquids and that holds a subject suctioned by a suction nozzle at the inner bottom thereof, the wells are provided with a gap-forming member that forms gaps for liquid to flow through in the state of the tip of the suction nozzle entering and contacting a well. When suctioning a subject held in a well, even in the state of the tip of the suction nozzle entering and contacting the well, a gap is formed through which liquid can flow. The suction nozzle can intake liquids in the vicinity through the gaps, and the subject held within the wells are efficiently suctioned from a suction opening alongside the flow of liquid taken in. Grooves or the like are not formed in the wells, and so even when the subject has a flexible nature, the subject does not become stuck or snagged in a portion of the well.
