Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a wet-area member in which recesses and projections are readily formed on the surface thereof, and a method for manufacturing a wet-area member. A wet-area member (1) comprises a wet-area substrate (3) having a plurality of projections (2) on a surface (30) thereof, and a decorative film (4) which is bonded to the surface (30) of the wet-area substrate (3). The decorative film (4) has a granular material (5) which has a diameter of 1-30 µm inclusive and which has a higher softening temperature than the remaining portion of the decorative film (4). A method for manufacturing the wet-area member (1) comprises a pressing step and a bonding step. In the pressing step, the decorative film (4), softened by heating, is pressed against the surface (30) of the wet-area substrate (3). In the bonding step, the decorative film (4) is bonded to the surface (30) of the wet-area substrate (3) by vacuum/pressure molding or vacuum molding.
