Abstract:
Provided is a wet metallurgy method for a nickel oxide mineral ore, the method being capable of effectively increasing the pH of a processing liquid and capable of efficiently facilitating a sulfurization reaction using the processing liquid without causing a deterioration in the solid-liquid separation properties of a slurry following a neutralization reaction of a leachate. This wet metallurgy method for a nickel oxide mineral ore comprises subjecting a leachate, which is obtained by leaching a nickel oxide mineral ore through addition of sulfuric acid, to a neutralization treatment in a neutralization reaction tank 11, subjecting the neutralized slurry to solid-liquid separation in a solid-liquid separation apparatus 12 so as to obtain a neutralized liquid, and subjecting the neutralized liquid to a sulfurization treatment so as to separate and recover nickel and cobalt. A coagulant is added to a liquid feed line 13 that feeds the neutralized slurry from the neutralization reaction tank 11 to the solid-liquid separation apparatus 12, and the neutralized slurry that has passed through the liquid feed line 13 is subjected to solid-liquid separation.
