Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a simple ball screw end part seal material that stays highly dust resistant and maintains high lubricity over the long term, even in poor environments in which there is fine dust, such as paper dust that is a few µm, that absorbs lubricant and diminishes lubricity, and that is easy to install and replace, is highly maintainable, is easy to handle, and has a large range of adjustment. According to the present invention, in a ball screw in which a nut part and a male screw shaft that comprises an arc-shaped continuous groove part are screwed together across a plurality of steel balls that are inserted between a male screw and a female screw and in which a nut is fed back and forth along the male screw shaft, an end part seal material that is installed on the front or the rear of the nut part has: a support frame body that is arranged on the outer circumference of the male screw shaft; a base fabric part that has a back surface that is fixed to an inner circumferential surface of the support frame body; and a cut pile that protrudes from a top surface of the base fabric part toward the groove part. A pile end part of the cut pile curves and contacts the groove part so as to plug a gap between the groove part and the support frame body. A lubricant is introduced between pile fibers of the cut pile in advance.
