Abstract:
A wheel bearing (12) for mounting a motor vehicle tyre of a motor vehicle is provided with a first ring (14), a second ring (20) which is mounted such that it can be rotated relative to the first ring (14), a sealing partner (50) which is fastened fixedly to the second ring (20) so as to rotate with it, a further sealing partner (50) which is fastened fixedly to the second ring (20) so as to rotate with it, a pressure chamber (36) which is configured in the radial direction between the first ring (14) and the second ring (20) and in the axial direction between the sealing partner (50) and the further sealing partner (50), a seal unit (38) which delimits the pressure chamber (36) on a first axial side in order to produce a sealing contact with the sealing partner (50), a further seal unit (60) which delimits the pressure chamber (36) on a second axial side in order to produce a sealing contact with the further sealing partner (50), and a seal holder (26) which delimits the pressure chamber (36) on a radial circumferential surface which points away from the first ring (14), wherein the seal holder (26) presses the seal unit (38) and the further seal unit (60) sealingly toward a circumferential surface of the first ring (14), wherein the first ring (14) has an inlet (16) which can communicate with the pressure chamber (36), wherein the seal holder (26) has an outlet channel (54) which can communicate with the pressure chamber (36) and with an outlet (22) which is configured in the second ring (20), wherein the flow cross section of the outlet channel (54) is dimensioned, in the case of a delivery of a pressure fluid from a pressure source which bears against the inlet (16) to a pressure use chamber which bears against the outlet (22), in particular a tyre tube of a motor vehicle tyre, so as to bring about a back pressure in the pressure chamber (36) in order to press the seal unit (38) sealingly against the sealing partner (50) and so as to press the further seal unit (60) sealingly against the further sealing partner (50). As a result, an inexpensive rotary leadthrough for a wheel bearing (12) is made possible.
