Abstract:
Disclosed is a wheel bearing unit with a rotating speed detection device that improves the precision of a sensor cap and has maintained the sealing performance of interlocking sections to an outer member. In the wheel bearing unit with a rotating speed detection device, the sensor cap (10) comprises a cylindrical cap main body (14) with a bottom that is formed by the injection molding of a synthetic resin and a cored bar (15) that is integrally molded into the opening of the cap main body, an attachment (16) is formed projecting in the axial direction on the exterior in the radial direction of the cap main body (14), and an insertion hole (16a) is formed on the attachment (16) extending in the axial direction, while a sensor unit is fitted into the insertion hole (16a); wherein a nut (21) is embedded into the attachment (16) of the cap main body (14) by means of insert molding, the sensor unit is detachably fixed to the attachment (16) via a fixing bolt (22), and the position of a gate (25) is set in roughly the center of the attachment (16) on the cap main body (14).
