Abstract:

Provided is a wheel driving apparatus that is capable of preventing vibration from being transmitted to a reduction gear casing when an internal gear vibrates due to the transmission of torque to the internal gear. A reduction gear (20) reducing a rotational speed of an electric motor (10) for transmission to a wheel hub (51) for supporting a wheel is a cycloid reduction gear. An internal gear (26), which meshes with an external gear (24) of the cycloid reduction gear, is prevented from rotating at a reduction gear casing (21) using rotation prevention means (40). The rotation prevention means (40) is provided with an elastic support function so as to elastically support the internal gear (26). When a vibration load is applied to the internal gear (26) while rotational torque is transmitted from the external gear (24) to the internal gear (26), the vibration is absorbed by elastic deformation of the rotation prevention means (40), and transmission thereof to the reduction gear casing (21) is prevented.
