Abstract:
A wheel load adjustment device that is for use in a railroad vehicle and that comprises: a first air spring and a second air spring that are arranged between a vehicle body and a first truck so as to be separated in the vehicle width direction; a third air spring and a fourth air spring that are arranged between the vehicle body and a second truck so as to be separated in the vehicle width direction; and first, second, third, and fourth automatic height adjustment valves that are arranged to the upstream side of the first, second, third, and fourth air springs, that respectively adjust the height of the first, second, third, and fourth air springs, and that maintain a constant air spring height. When the railroad vehicle is passing through a curve, the wheel load adjustment device restricts a supply/exhaust operation of at least one of the first, second, third, and fourth automatic height adjustment valves so as to keep the pressure difference between at least two of the first, second, third, and fourth air springs from increasing.
