Abstract:

This wheel loader is provided with: a mechanical drive unit; a mechanical drive clutch (43, 47) that controls the transmission and cut-off of motive power resulting from the mechanical drive unit; an HST pump (22) that is driven by an engine; a hydraulic motor (23, 24) that is driven by the hydraulic fluid supplied from the HST pump (22); a hydraulic drive unit; a hydraulic drive clutch (54, 65) that controls the transmission and cut-off of motive power resulting from the hydraulic drive unit; a load detection means (101) that detects the magnitude of a load; a vehicle speed sensor (116) that detects vehicle speed; a switching control means (102) that sets the switching vehicle speed in accordance with the magnitude of the load; and a vehicle controller (100) that switches between a hydraulic fluid driving state and a mechanical driving state in accordance with the switching control means (102). The switching control means (102) sets the switching vehicle speed to the higher speed side when the load increases, and sets the switching vehicle speed to the lower speed side when the load decreases.
