Abstract:
A wheel position identification system (50) comprises: transmitters (51) respectively provided to two wheel-assemblies (32, 35) of a wheel assembly set (31); and a receiver (71). Each of the transmitters (51) transmits a wireless signal containing an ID code upon detecting that the transmitter (51) is positioned at a specific position. Each time a wireless signal is received from the transmitters (51), a receiver control device (72) of the receiver (71) acquires information indicating a rotation angle of the wheel assembly set (31) from a rotation angle detection unit (41) of a vehicle (10), such rotation angle associated with the ID code. The receiver control device (72) identifies, from a phase difference between rotation angles associated with ID codes that differ from each other, whether each of the transmitters (51) is disposed to the right wheel assembly (32) or the left wheel assembly (35).
