Title:
WHEELCHAIR CONVEYING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/099077
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A wheelchair conveying device is provided with a link mechanism (7) comprising a first link mechanism (8) for pivoting of a flap and a second link mechanism (15) for lifting and lowering of a boarding section. When a person to be cared pushes an operation lever (10), which serves for both the first link mechanism (8) and the second link mechanism (15), downward from above toward rear wheels while sitting on a wheelchair, the lever (10) is moved about the upper frame (9d) side of a frame (9) of a mounting section with the upper frame (9d) side serving as the supporting point (a). This makes the flap (6) move about the shaft section of a hinge member (5) through an operation link (11) of the first link mechanism (8), with the shaft section serving as the support point (c), to thereby cause the rear end of the flap to be further separated from the ground and also cause a supporting point (b) for connecting a base frame (9b), which is located below the mounting section (4), and a downwardly sloped frame (16a) of a rear wheel frame (16) of the second link mechanism (15) to be further lifted away from the ground surface. Even with the use of the single flap, the person to be cared can "extremely easily" board and leave the boarding section while sitting on the wheelchair.
