Abstract:
A wheelchair elevator is provided with a rotary table that is provided on a portion of a car floor, a measuring device that measures the distribution of a load placed inside the face of the rotary table, an electromagnetic lock device that has a mechanism to lock rotation of the rotary table, and a lock release control unit that executes an electromagnetic lock control process by controlling the electromagnetic lock device on the basis of the results of measuring the load distribution. The lock release control unit controls the electromagnetic lock device to be in a lock release state and allows the rotary table to rotate when it is determined that a wheelchair in which a user is seated is in an appropriate position on the rotary table on the basis of the results of measuring the load distribution.
