Title:
WHEELCHAIR MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS AND NOTIFICATION SYSTEM USING SMART PHONE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/169302
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
When a malfunction occurs while using a wheelchair, a physically handicapped person or elderly person may become acutely embarrassed. If a wheelchair malfunction can be warned of in advance, and a cause of a malfunction can be notified of, various countermeasures can be taken. Currently, in some wheelchairs, a battery gauge is used to notify of a malfunction and the cause of a malfunction, however, it is uncertain whether blinking of the battery gauge means a real malfunction and it is also difficult to know what kind of malfunction the blinking means. In the present invention, it is possible to: analyze various pieces of information collected through smartphones used by many persons; diagnose, determine, and predict a malfunction and a cause of the malfunction; and notify of various countermeasures. Even when a wheelchair does not operate due to a malfunction or power not being turned on, a cause of a malfunction can be identified using a malfunction and driving information DB recorded up to before the occurrence of the malfunction. If necessary, it is possible to transmit the malfunction and driving information DB to a nearby AS center, so as to identify an accurate cause of a malfunction through an expert, receive an immediate countermeasure transmitted in return, and enable an accurate AS support.
