Abstract:
Disclosed is a wheeled mobile unit. The mobile unit comprises a base (2), a forklift fork groove (21) is arranged in the middle portion of the base, and a set of wheels (1) are mounted on either side of the forklift fork groove on the base, wherein at least one of the sets of wheels involves universal wheels, the universal wheels having a wheel body (15) and a steering mechanism. A wheel accommodation space is provided on either side of the forklift fork groove at the position where the wheels are mounted, wherein the steering mechanism is arranged such that when some of the universal wheels protrude from the wheel accommodation space, even in the braking state, the wheel body can be turned such that the universal wheels are completely located in the wheel accommodation space. The wheeled mobile unit is capable of preventing the wheels thereof from being damaged by a forklift during operation.
