Abstract:
Provided is a device for producing a whetstone by depositing polyhedron-shaped abrasive grains, the opposing faces of which are parallel to one another, on a base material. The device comprises an abrasive grain grading device for grading abrasive grains in accordance with the size of the abrasive grains, which is determined by the distance between the opposing faces, and a depositing device for depositing the abrasive grains graded by the abrasive grain grading device on the base material. The depositing device comprises a template, which is disposed so as to be mobile over the base material and which has guide holes formed therein for the graded abrasive grains to pass; a vibrator, which is connected to the template or is connected to the base material and applies vibration to the abrasive grains that have passed through the template; and an electrodeposition tank for electrodeposition of the abrasive grains that have passed through the template on the base material.
