Abstract:
A white ant sensor and an invaded white ant detecting system used for detecting white ants entering a wooden building, etc. A container 3 which can be eaten by white ants is filled up with a granular conductive material 4 and a pair of electrodes 8a is buried in the material 4. In addition, terminals 8b and 8b are respectively connected to the electrodes 8a and 8a and led out of the container 3. The white ants are detected by monitoring the conducting state between the electrodes 8a and 8a and, when an invaded white ant is detected, a warning device 7 connected to the terminals 8b and 8b through lead wires 10 outputs a warning signal.
