Abstract:
Provided is an actinic ray-curable white ink composition that can be applied to an inkjet method, the white ink composition being capable of suppressing ink volatility during printing and cure shrinkage during UV curing, suppressing film reduction at the pixel area, and making it easy to adjust the backlight transmittance to a prescribed value. The white ink composition contains: light-scattering particles; a polymer dispersant; a photopolymerization initiator; and an ethylenically unsaturated monomer having ethylenic unsaturated groups. The ethylenically unsaturated monomer contains a bifunctional monomer having two ethylenically unsaturated groups and having a molecular weight of 220-800, at a ratio of at least 65 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the total amount of the ethylenically unsaturated monomer.
