The embodiments of the invention provide a Wi-Fi connection method, terminal, and system. The method comprises: scanning, by a first terminal, a fingerprint of a user to obtain a characteristic of the fingerprint, and transmitting, by the first terminal, the characteristic of the fingerprint to a wireless router for the wireless router to store the same; upon receiving a request for acquiring the characteristic of the fingerprint and transmitted from a second terminal, transmitting, by the first terminal, the characteristic of the fingerprint to the second terminal; acquiring, by the second terminal, the characteristic of the fingerprint, and transmitting, by the second terminal, a request for establishing a Wi-Fi connection to the wireless router, wherein the request for establishing the Wi-Fi connection comprises the characteristic of the fingerprint; and if the request for establishing the Wi-Fi connection is granted, establishing the Wi-Fi connection. The method, terminal, and system provided in the embodiments of the invention can employ characteristic of a user fingerprint to be a password to establish a Wi-Fi connection. Since the characteristic of the fingerprint is complex and unique to an individual, a complexity level of a Wi-Fi password can be increased, being uneasy to be deciphered by a hacker, and increasing network security.
