Abstract:
A wick for a liquid fuel combustor in which combustion amount does not lower sharply even if tar deposits, and the combusting portion can be contained in a wick containing tube. The warp composing portion (41) of a heat resistant wick part (5) is formed by turning up two sets of thread bundles (45A, 45B) composed by arranging a plurality of warp threads (42) a plurality of times such that turn-up portions (47, 49) are formed repeatedly at upper and lower positions. The turn-up portions (47) at the upper position are cut at a cutting position CL to form the combusting portion (5B). Out of a plurality of weft threads (44A-44E) composing a weft composing portion (43), one weft thread (44A) located uppermost is arranged to extend laterally in the intermediate region at the combusting portion (5B) of the heat resistant wick part (5).
