Abstract:
A wide-angle optical system for use in imaging is provided which has excellent environment resistance while being compact, high-performance, low-cost and wide-angle. In order from the object side, this imaging lens (the wide-angle optical system) 10 substantially consists of a negative first lens L1 which has a convex shape on the object side and a concave shape on the image side, is made of glass and is spherical on both sides, a negative second lens L2 which has a aspherical surface on at least one side and which has a concave shape on the image side, a positive third lens L3, an aperture stop ST, a fourth lens L4 which has an aspherical surface on at least one side, and a fifth lens L5 which has an aspherical surface on at least one side. This optical system satisfies the conditional expressions (1) and (2), which relate to the values D14/D1L and D24/SAG2.
