Abstract:
Provided are a wide-colour-gamut image display method and terminal, wherein for an image that needs colour gamut conversion for display, first, a colour gamut of the image is mapped to a wide colour gamut (a third colour gamut) completely encompassing a colour gamut (a first colour gamut) to which same needs to be converted and the colour gamut (a second colour gamut) of the image itself, and then, the image is mapped from the wide colour gamut to the colour gamut to which same needs to be converted, thereby reducing colour loss due to colour gamuts not including each other, so that the image display effect is better, the reduction rate is higher, or, the colour enhancement is stronger.
