Abstract:
This disclosure describes a wide band array that uses wideband beamforming with interference cancellation and main lobe steering at multiple independent frequencies and spatial locations. One embodiment uses 1-N analysis filter bands coupled to 1-N narrowband beamformers with the output processed through one through N synthesis bands and summed together to produce the full spectrum output signal. Another embodiment uses 1-M sensors with Discrete Fourier Transforms (DFT) and 1-N frequency bins coupled to 1-N narrowband beamformers processed through an Inverse DFT to produce the full spectrum output signal. Another embodiment uses one 1 N sensor subarrays and 1-N frequency bands coupled to 1-N narrowband beamformers summed together to produce the full spectrum output signal. Another embodiment uses 1-M sensor arrays with 1-N frequency hands coupled to 1-N narrowband beamformers summed together to produce the full spectrum output signal.
