Provided is a wig base comprising: a surface portion (4) that has a surface on which imitation hair (14) is implanted; an outer frame portion (6) in which a first string-like member (10a) on which the imitation hair (14) is implanted is disposed so as to be spaced apart to the outside of at least a portion of the surface portion; and a middle portion (8) in which a second string-like member (10b) on which the imitation hair (14) is implanted is disposed between the spaced-apart surface portion and outer frame portion in a wave form in which the surface portion side and outer frame portion side form peaks. The surface portion-side peaks of the second string-like member are fixed to the surface portion, and the spaced-apart surface portion and outer frame portion are connected via the middle portion due to the fact that in at least some of the outer frame portion-side peaks of the second string-like member, the second string-like member and the first string-like member of the outer frame portion are connected such that the relative positions of said members can be changed.
