Title:
WIND-FOLLOWING HORIZONTAL-AXIS WIND TURBINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/006657
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a wind-following horizontal-axis wind turbine which can turn the front surface of a rotor upwind, reacting sensitively to changes in the direction of even light winds. A horizontal-axis rotor 8 is mounted on the back portion of a rotor shaft 7 which projects horizontally backwards from the inside of a wind turbine casing 3 mounted on a support column 2 via an attachment unit 4. A rotating portion 5 is integrally attached to attachment body 4 above a fixed portion thereof which is fixed at bottom to the support column 2 so as to allow the rotating portion 5 to rotate together with the wind turbine casing 3 with a bearing 5A interposed therebetween. The top end of a transmission shaft 10 which projects from the support column 2 upwards through the rotating portion 5 is linked by a transmission means 11, 12 to the front end of the rotor shaft 7, and, through support arms 13 projecting rearwards from the back portion of the outer periphery of the wind turbine casing 3, a rudder 14 is disposed to the left and right sides at and rearwards from the position of a blade 9.
