A wind power generating device comprises: a windmill; a power generator; a DC-DC converter; a power detection unit for obtaining the output power from the DC-DC converter in a sampling period; and a converter control unit for controlling the duty ratio of the DC-DC converter. The converter control unit includes a duty ratio indication unit for indicating the duty ratio and a variation determination unit for selecting a positive first variation or a negative second variation as the variation of a duty ratio indication value from the duty ratio indication value corresponding to the previous sampling. When the absolute value of the first variation is smaller than the absolute value of the second variation, the variation determination unit selects, from the first and second variations, the variation having a sign equal to a reference sign that is the positive or negative sign of the variation of the duty ratio indication value corresponding to the previous sampling if the output power is greater than or equal to a reference power that is the output power obtained at the previous sampling time, and selects the variation having a sign different from the reference sign if the output power is smaller than the reference power.
