Title:
WIND POWER GENERATION APPARATUS FOR LOW WIND SPEEDS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/183892
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention provides a wind power generation apparatus for low wind speeds, and the wind power generation apparatus for generating power using wind energy comprises: a central shaft which is rotationally supported, and which generates a rotational moment; connection arms which are coupled to upper and lower ends of the central shaft, and which are used as coupling means for drag blades; the plurality of semicircular drag blades which are coupled to the connection arms, and which are arranged and fixed in the same rotating direction of the central shaft by forming a certain ratio of overlapping areas from the central shaft so as to increase the rotational moment; an airfoil-shaped wind capture which is provided in the lengthwise direction on a body of the drag blades, and which is recessed towards the rotating direction of the drag blades so as to increase the rotational moment by using wind energy; and a power generation module which is positioned in the extension line of the central shaft, and which generates power by receiving the rotational moment of the central shaft. According to the wind power generation device for low wind speeds of the present invention, it is possible to accelerate a power coefficient of wind power generation by using both dragging and lifting forces of the wind, and to increase the efficiency of wind power generation even when there is little wind regardless of the direction of the wind or a specific region or location.
