Abstract:

Provided is a wind power generation device that can use a general-purpose inverter. A constant-voltage-mode inverter (30) is used. When a wind-power generator (2) is generating power, switching circuits (40-1 to 40-3) are turned on and off with a controlled duty cycle and an armature coil (22) is periodically shorted, thereby increasing the voltage and controlling the rotational speed of windmill blades (20), keeping the voltage applied to the inverter (30) constant. At startup, so that an excessive voltage does not arise while the inverter (30) goes from a standby state to a startup state, a switching circuit (31) is controlled, and the output voltage of a rectifier (23) and a voltage that appears across a resistor (32) are switched, such that the voltage remains at an appropriate level.
