Abstract:
Provided is a wind power generation method with which power can be generated efficiently while pre-emptively preventing a rotor from stalling. A generator 3 is connected, via a clutch 9, to the vertical main shaft 5 of a rotor 2. In the event that the rotor rotates at or below a predetermined average wind speed, the clutch is disconnected and the rotor is made to idle, and when the rotor reaches a specified peripheral speed or rotational speed, the clutch is connected and power is generated by the generator. When the rotor again comes to rotate at or below the average wind speed, the clutch is again disconnected and the rotor is made to idle until reaching the specified peripheral speed or rotational speed, at which point the clutch is reconnected and power is generated by the generator. This process is repeated.
