Title:
WIND POWER GENERATION SYSTEM EQUIPPED WITH MODULAR BLADE BOOSTER AND BLADE PIECES THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/143817
Kind Code:
A2
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a wind power generation system equipped with a modular blade booster and blade pieces thereof, and in particular to a system for which blade pieces are formed in a generally semicircular-shaped partial ring, the blade pieces are then coupled to form a blade segment, the blade segments are uniformly stacked and twisted at a certain angle such that they form blade modules of different sizes, and a required number of blade modules thus formed are assembled and coupled to obtain a completely assembled system as a single unit in a spiral, columnar form. The blade piece for the wind power generation system equipped with a modular blade booster of the present invention has a uniform thickness and a generally semicircular ring shape to generate a drag force by accommodating an external power generating medium while in the assembled and coupled state, and comprises, at one end tip, a shaft coupling part composed of a conformal ring for coupling the blade piece to a central shaft at the center and, at the other end tip, a recessed booster piece formed facing the same direction of the semicircular ring shape. Moreover, the wind power generation system, comprises: a central shaft of a cylindrical pole shape for generating a rotational force, being supported in a rotatable condition for power generation; a blade, which is configured to form a fitting end at the central portion to fit into the central shaft, and which has a uniform height, with a cross section at each of specific points being generally recessed at one side that is divided from the fitting end of the central portion and forming a semicircular shape of a uniform thickness; a booster formed in a recessed shape to face the same direction with the recessed, semicircular ring shaped blade, along the blade end tip in the opposite direction of the central shaft from the fitting end of the central part; and a power generation module located as an extension of the central shaft, for generating power under the rotational drive force of the central shaft. Accordingly, in order to improve the power generation efficiency of the wind power generation system, the present invention adopts a structure for increasing rotatory acceleration by taking a certain blade shape and adding a booster, such that low-cost, environmentally friendly, yet highly efficient wind power generation can be carried out.
