Abstract:
Provided is a wind-powered electricity generating apparatus in which strain can be monitored with high accuracy on windmill blades or a tower. This wind-powered electricity generating apparatus comprises: a tower that is installed on land or on sea, and that serves as a strut for a generator; a nacelle that is provided on the tower, and in which the generator is incorporated; and a rotor that is provided at one end of the nacelle, and that includes a plurality of blades and a hub which receive wind and convert the same into rotational energy. At least one of the plurality of blades is provided with a semiconductor strain sensor that detects strain generated in the blade.
