Title:
WIND TURBINE BLADE FOR VERTICAL-AXIS WIND POWER GENERATOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/188250
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To increase the rotation of a wind turbine by effectively utilizing even a tail wind, thereby contributing to wind power generation. [Solution] A cavity C is formed in a rear section of a streamline blade 1, said cavity being surrounded by a vertical rear wall 8 disposed upright along a transverse direction, a convex arc-shaped outer wall surface 9, and an inner surface 10 disposed upright on a center axis side. This cavity has a narrow part 11 where the interval between the outer wall surface and the inner surface is the smallest, and the rear side G of this narrow part opens rearward, allowing a tail wind to easily flow therein from the rear end. Therefore, when the tail wind hits the blade while the wind turbine is rotating, the narrow part is pushed by the pressure of the wind so as to cause the blade to rotate. In addition, at the front side of the narrow part, because the interval gradually increases toward the front end, with the interval being the largest near the rear wall, the air pressure inside the cavity gradually decreases and becomes the lowest near the rear wall. Consequently, air resistance against the jet of air gradually decreases and becomes the lowest near the rear wall, such that the jet of air pushes the rear wall at the maximum speed, thereby causing the wind turbine to rotate at high speed.
