Abstract:
A wind turbine control device is provided which can perform a suppression operation for preventing rotation speed of a wind turbine from becoming too high when the wind speed is high, and can cancel said suppression operation when the wind speed is low and stable. This wind turbine control device (2) has a rotation suppression unit (20) which performs a suppression operation for suppressing rotation of the wind turbine (100) and which cancels the suppression operation, and a control unit (10) which controls the rotation suppression unit (20). If the wind speed measured by a wind speed sensor (9) reaches a first threshold value Vth1, the control unit (10) causes the rotation suppression unit to initiate the suppression operation; after initiation of the suppression operation, if the wind speed measured by the wind speed sensor (9) continues at no greater than the second threshold value Vth2 for more than a set time, the control unit (10) causes the rotation suppression unit (20) to cancel the suppression operation.
