Abstract:
The invention relates to a winding aid (6, 7) for a strip coiler (11, 12) for a metal strip, designed in particular to press a hot rolled magnesium strip (2) at temperatures of between 300 °C and 450 °C against the strip coiler (11, 12). According to the invention, a support body (13) is provided perpendicularly to the longitudinal axis of the strip coiler (11, 12) so that it can be moved between a release position and a winding position, said support body (13) having a plurality of pressure rollers (18, 19, 20, 21) that can be adjusted by means of pressure cylinders (14, 15, 16) for introducing and pressing the first and/or last layer of a metal strip to or against the strip coiler (11, 12) or against the wound strip layers. In the winding position, the pressure rollers (18, 19, 20, 21) can be pressed directly against the strip coiler (11, 12) or the wound metal strip in such a way that the metal strip can be wound and/or unwound without slippage. The invention also relates to strip coiler comprising a coiler mandrel with an outer thermal protection covering that acts on the metal strip.
