Abstract:
Pairs of coils (18) are fabricated by winding a wire in core slots (15) of an armature core (12). If the coil ends of each coil are formed into predetermined shapes by shaping winding, the winding at the coil ends of the coil wound in each core slot (15) is nearer to the end faces of the armature coil (12) toward the radial outside of the shaft (11). If the coil ends of each coil is formed by both shaping winding and direct winding, the wire is wound by shaping winding from the first turn to predetermined number of turns and then wound by direct winding for the rest of the turns at the coil ends.
