Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a winding-type electronic component and a winding-type electronic component core that can suppress a reduction in the bending rigidity of a core part in a winding-type electronic component core, and can prevent chipping or cracking of the mold for casting the core. The core (12) of a winding-type electronic component (1) is provided with a core part (14) and collar parts (16, 18). The core part (14) has wound therearound a winding (20). The collar parts (16, 18) are provided to both ends of the core part (14) and project in a first direction that is orthogonal to the center axis of the core part (14). The cross-section shape of a cross section (S1) which is orthogonal to the center axis in the core part (14) is a shape formed from a combination of a rectangle (R) and circular arc-shaped projections (α,β). The projections (α,β) are provided to opposing sides of one set of the rectangle (R), and do not come into contact with the angles of the rectangle (R). In the collar parts (16, 18), a surface located in the first direction is a mounting surface.
