Abstract:

A windmill (10) for wind power generation, comprising a tower−like frame (11) and a rotating member (12) installed in the frame rotatably around the vertical axis thereof, the rotating member (12) further comprising bosses (23, 24) disposed on the upper and lower sides thereof, a plurality of lateral vanes (25) extending radially from the bosses, and vertical vanes (26) held by the tips of the pair of upper and lower side lateral vanes, the frame (11) further comprising bearings (19, 20) supporting the bosses (23, 24) of the rotating member rotatably around the vertical axis thereof, spokes (17) radially provided for supporting the bearings, and a leg (15) for holding the spokes (17) at a position apart from the ground, wherein a generator connected to the boss (24) of the rotating member (12) is stored in the lower side bearing (20).
