Abstract:
A window regulator (30) is provided with: a glass holder (31) for holding the lower end of window glass (20); a carrier plate (32) fastened to the glass holder (31); a lifting cable (33) having one end connected to the carrier plate at a position below the position where the glass holder (31) and the carrier plate (32) are fastened together; a drive motor (36) and a drum (35), the drive motor (36) and the drum (35) having the other end of the lifting cable (33) connected thereto and moving the lifting cable (33) in the axial direction; and a support section (72) raised upward from the carrier plate (32) so as to be in contact with or proximity to the inner section (55) of the glass holder (31) and capable of, before the window glass (20) reaches an upper end restraint position, coming into contact with the inner section (55) of the glass holder (31) and being subjected to force acting on the glass holder (31). As a result of this configuration, the window regulator does not cause deformation of or damage to the glass holder (31).
