Disclosed is a window shade device for vehicles which covers a vehicle window such that said window can be shielded or unshielded. The window shade device for vehicles is provided with a horizontal shielding window shade, a winding device which winds said window shade, a guiding support mechanism which moveably supports a horizontally moveable shielding member along a guide path, and an arm supported by the horizontally moveable shielding member so as to allow said arm to change positions between a first position and a second position. The arm is coupled to the pull-out side of the horizontal shielding window shade. A first gear is disposed on the arm, and a second gear is disposed on the pull-out side of the guide path of the guide support mechanism. When the horizontally moveable shielding member moves in the pull-out direction, the first gear and the second gear mesh and the arm changes position from the first position to the second position.
