Abstract:

Provided is a wiper arm in which, in a state in which a cover member is attached to an arm head body so as to be openable/closable, even the mechanical strength of the arm head can be improved. In an arm head (4) of a wiper arm (2), a head cap (20) is pivotably attached to rotation shafts (15A, 15B) provided to the inside surface of both sidewalls (12A, 12B) of an arm head body (10). When the head cap (20) is in the closed position, the front half (21) of the head cap (20) is positioned between both sidewalls (12A, 12B). A cap-side fitting part (26), which fits to a nut (9) that is on the arm head body (10) side, is provided to the back surface of the head cap (20) and has slits (27A–27C). The height of the cap-side fitting part (26) in the vertical direction is smaller in the front section.
