Abstract:

Provided is a wiper arm that is equipped with an urging means that exerts an urging force which is appropriate for rotating an arm body around an arm head, the wiper arm being able to realize a reduction in thickness while securing an appropriate urging force. A wiper arm 1 is provided with an arm head 2, an arm body 3, a coil spring 4 and a spring plate 5. The arm body 3 is provided with a hinge block 21 that is rotatably coupled to the arm head 2 via a hinge pin 15, and a shaft part 22 that extends from the hinge block 21. The spring plate 5 is provided with a front end wall 31 which is provided with an insertion hole 33 through which the shaft part 22 is inserted, and leg parts 32A, 32B that are rotatably attached to the arm head 2 via roller pins 18. The coil spring 4 is coaxially disposed with respect to the shaft part 22, and is maintained in a state of being sandwiched between a front end surface 21c of the hinge block 21 and the front end wall 31 of the spring plate 5.
